Aim

Safety Simplified is ideal for anyone who is looking for an introduction to health and safety issues in the workplace and risk assessment. This may include team leaders and supervisors, HR professionals, facilities managers and those training young people in a working environment.

This 3 Day day NEBOSH Safety Simplified Course covers the following topics:

• Making the case for health and safety
• Stopping incidents and ill-health before they happen
• Stopping incidents from repeating themselves
• Dealing with common workplace hazards
• Keeping an eye on how things are going

Safety Simplified looks at everyday solutions for general workplace health and safety issues. When you have completed the course, you will be able to:

• Make a case for managing health and safety including recognising what good health and safety management looks like;
• Do a general risk assessment in your own workplace – inspecting the workplace recognising a range of common hazards, evaluating risks (taking account of current
controls), recommending further control measures and assigning actions;
• Understand why incidents happen and how to investigate them; and
• Help your employer to check their health and safety management system effectiveness – through monitoring, audits and reviews.

Assessment

Safety Simplified has two assessments:

  • Unit SS1: General health and safety awareness: 30 minute/30 question multi-format examination with a pass mark of 60% (18 marks)
  • Unit SS2: General workplace risk assessment: 1.5 Hour Practical Assessment

Learners must achieve a Pass in both units to be awarded the course certificate. An e-certificate will be sent directly to learner by email.

There are no specific entry requirements but the course does assume a certain level of knowledge.

Cancellations

Refunds of fees will only be made for written cancellations received at least 21 days prior to the start of the course (less a 10% cancellation fee to cover administration costs). However, we are happy to accept substitute delegates. Any changes to delegates should be notified, by telephone, as soon as possible.Bookings that are accepted within 48 hours are deemed confirmed and subject to payment, even if the delegate is subsequently unable to attend.
