Training in Category 3a and 3b access equipment Who should attend? This programme is designed for the operators of MEWPs and those looking to renew their operator licences. Aim To instruct an operator to prepare and operate various types of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) Knowledge By the end of the course delegates will: – be aware of the relevant health and safety regulations – be aware of accident prevention and control – be aware of the needs regarding personnel protection – be aware of the need to refer to the machine’s operating manual – be able to drive the MEWP safely and manoeuvre the machine as required, to correctly position and carry out the required tasks in a correct and proper manner, inside and outside a building. Course duration: two classifications in one day as standard (up to three days depending on categories taken and experience) PPE required: yes Training delivery: at our depot or on-site Training method: classroom tutorials, theory test, demonstrations and practical tests Certification: IPAF five year powered Access Licence (PAL)
