Aim

The IPAF MEWPS For Managers Training Course is aimed at anyone who is responsible for planning and overseeing the use of MEWPS in connection with their work. Examples would be employers, project managers, foremen and supervisors working in a broad range of industries such as construction, facilities management, retail, airports and arboriculture.

Course Content

Companies that use MEWPS need to know what their management and legal responsibilities are. The course covers what managers need to know about the safe use of MEWPS on site, from planning the job and conducting a risk assessment to selecting the right equipment and mitigating all risks.

The course does not incorporate practical training.

• Structural parts and MEWP selection
• Operator training and familiarisation requirements
• Operator daily inspection requirements
• MEWP personal fall protection
• Safe operating methods and hazard awareness
• Safety Beyond training

Assessment

Candidates will take a written test. Successful candidates will receive an IPAF certificate. Those who already hold an valid IPAF Powered Access Licence will have the IPAF MEWPS for Managers (MM) category added to their licence.

Cancellations

Refunds of fees will only be made for written cancellations received at least 21 days prior to the start of the course (less a 10% cancellation fee to cover administration costs). However, we are happy to accept substitute delegates. Any changes to delegates should be notified, by telephone, as soon as possible.Bookings that are accepted within 48 hours are deemed confirmed and subject to payment, even if the delegate is subsequently unable to attend.
