Aim

The IPAF Access Platform Operators Course is aimed at anyone who operates any type of Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP), such as scissor lifts, boom lifts, or trailer mounted or vehicle mounted boom lifts, should take this course to comply with the duties placed upon employers and employees by law. The International Powered Access Federation licence is recognised all over the world, and can be endorsed with different categories of MEWP.

Course Content

This course is approved by IPAF, who are the main international body governing access platform operations. Topics covered include:

• Employer’s and employee’s legal responsibilities
• Different categories of MEWPs
• Main structural parts of MEWPs
• Pre-use inspections
• Testing and inspection
• Safe operating methods
• Practical training

Assessment

Candidates will take a written test, and following practical training also take a practical assessment. Successful candidates will receive a certificate issued by IPAF and a photo I.D. IPAF licence showing the category or categories of MEWP on which they have been trained. The licence is internationally accepted.

Classroom Courses

Online Courses

Allows candidates to complete the theory study part of the IPAF course via e-learning.

• 1/2 Day
• Candidates will not have to attend the theory classroom training, but will then attend at our training centre to complete the written test, and practical training.
• Candidates can complete the e-learning in a period of 45 days before attending for the test and practical training

Additional Training

The price shown is for training on a single category of MEWP, and includes the certification and licence issue fee. Training for extra categories of MEWP can be completed within the one day classroom course at an extra cost of £50.00 per category

Cancellations

Refunds of fees will only be made for written cancellations received at least 21 days prior to the start of the course (less a 10% cancellation fee to cover administration costs). However, we are happy to accept substitute delegates. Any changes to delegates should be notified, by telephone, as soon as possible.Bookings that are accepted within 48 hours are deemed confirmed and subject to payment, even if the delegate is subsequently unable to attend.
