British Safety Services, BSS, are very happy to announce that we have agreed a strategic relationship with Nationwide Platforms to cooperate on training provision.

Nationwide Platforms, the UK’s market leader in access platform hire, equipment sales and IPAF training, are proud to offer the widest selection of powered access equipment in the country, including a complete range of scissor lifts, boom lifts and both van and truck mounted platforms. They also provide a fleet of trailer mounted booms and specialist equipment, such as tracked access and narrow spider machines, to fulfil all your platform rental requirements

This will be a Joint Venture, whereby Nationwide provide training to BSS clients in their area of expertise, namely;

IPAF registered courses for safe use and operation of mobile elevated work platforms, MEWP’s

PASMA registered course for tower scaffolds

In addition, Nationwide are able to offer a range of specialist courses covering subjects including, but not limited to;

  • Safe use of Safety Harnesses and Fall Arrest Equipment
  • Working at height with ladders
  • First Aid at Work
  • Emergency First Aid at Work
  • Lifting Appointed Person
  • Basic Slinging – Slinger/Banksman

Such training can be carried out at one of Nationwide’s 30 UK depots, one of several overseas Nationwide and BSS International locations, BSS training facilities in Aston, Birmingham or even at client premises, where suitable facilities exist.

Additionally, BSS will be offering their full range of accredited courses to Nationwide’s clients, specifically NEBOSH National General Certificate and NEBOSH International Technical Certificate in Oil and Gas Operational Safety.
