As Fastnet 2007 approaches, Team BSS have completed another weekend of training by taking part in the Dinard-St Malo Race. Pat McLoughlin and Steve Burke, Directors of British Safety Services and the other members of Team BSS, sailed the 164 mile journey from Cowes to St Malo.
Team BSS finished 17th out of 46 in their class, and a very impressive 50th out of 194 overall, finishing only 1 hour and 24 minutes behind the winner. This was the penultimate race before the gruelling 2007 Rolex Fastnet Race begins on 12 August, which will see Pat, Steve and the rest of Team BSS sail the 608 mile course, which is known for testing for skippers and crews with its tricky tidal currents and changeable weather conditions.
